Hillary Clinton’s Plans
Does it seem to you that Hillary Clinton is running for President for 2012. For this plan, (if indeed she has one), to work…. Barak Obama has to lose this coming election.
We have wondered why former President Bill Clinton was not and continues not to throw his considerable weight and support fully behind Barak Obama, since he became the Democratic. Is it because he was not asked, (because he has proven himself to be a bit of a loose canon) or is it because he only wants to do the bear minimum to help Obama.
Recently Bill Clinton appeared on the David Letterman program. He spoke several times about Hillary’s solutions for fixing the U.S. problems. Hillary’s solutions… not Obama’s. He has also stated recently that John McCain is a good and honorable man and that Sarah Palin has reinvigorated the Presidential campaign. Not the words one would expect from a staunch Democrat just a few short weeks before the election.
It is understandable the Mrs. Clinton has been hurt and embarrassed by Barak Obama. Hillary was the clear frontrunner a few months ago and was surely dismayed by her loss to Obama. Then Hillary hung herself out there -- making it clear that she would accept the Vice Presidential position on the Obama ticket --- and she was likely further embarrassed and angered by Obama’s rebuff.
Many of the polls showed the Clinton would handily beat McCain. So is it farfetched to think that the Clintons have no love for Obama --- and perhaps --they would like to nothing more than to see him lose this election and say "I told you so".
Mrs. Clinton is 60 years old. Should Senator Obama win this coming election he may well have 8 years in office, in which case she will be 68 years old next time around. On the other hand if John McCain wins the election, Obama will be out of the picture and Hillary can begin seeking the nomination about 2 years thereafter.
So what do Hillary and Bill Clinton really want --- for Obama to win and possibly serve 2 terms as President … or for McCain to win and for Hillary to try again and run against a then 76 year old McCain.
If I were Bill or Hillary I know which way I would be leaning. Hell, I would even cast my secret ballot for the McCain, just after smiling for photographers.
We would like to hear your opinions. Do you think Hillary and Bill Clinton are doing enough to help the Democratic nominee? Or do you think they are hoping for an Obama loss.
