Xmas Time
I really like this time of year. It is a period of friendship and family --- of happiness and hope.
I love Christmas music. It is not about the usual lost love or broken promises. There is no sadness or tragedy in the music of Christmas. It is always uplifting and joyful, and -- much to the chagrin of my friends, -- I can’t help but sing along.
The Santa Claus fable of bringng gifts for children not only brings us the happiness of giving -- but rekindles the memories of our own childhood innocence when we believed in Santa Claus, --- and everything else our parents told us.
I couldn’t choose a favorite Xmas movie. I really love "A Christmas Carol", --- but I also love "It’s a Wonderful Life", and "Miracle on 34th Street". They never fail to make me cry even though I have seen each about a hundred times. Every time I see them I am filled with hope that the each of our lives could really turn out with a happy ending.
What I don’t like about Xmas is that it ends so abruptly. The day after Xmas there are no more Xmas songs on the radio, no more Xmas movies until next year and we are hustled away into the next holiday New Years.
We here at Naked News want to wish you a truly joyous Holiday Season. We thank you for being with us in 2008. We hope that we made the news of the world a little easier to swallow, and we hope that 2009 will bring you and us and all mankind, a little closer together.
We would very much like to know how you spent your Holidays by writing us to feedback@nakednews.com and that includes sending us some pictures or video.
