Whitney St. John, 30, joined the Naked News in November, 2006, after members' overwhelming response to her visit as a Guest Anchor. Beautiful, smart, and intuitive, Whitney brings her own unique perspective to the program.
An East-coast girl, Whitney was raised on the water and became a proficient surfer at an early age. Always in her bathing suit, she became a fixture on the beach, setting the stage for her future career path. A genuine "people person",
Whitney St. John always drew a crowd.
This served her well when she attended university on a public speaking scholarship. Not content with just one language, in addition to her major in French literature, she chose to minor in Spanish and obtain a certificate in German.
After graduating, she was bitten by the performing bug, and travelled to New York to study acting with a major movie and television studio. With "serious acting" learnings under her belt, she then moved to Toronto to train in comedy with the renowned Second City Theatre Company.
Whitney St. John then spent two years competing on the beauty pageant circuit, where Naked News caught up to her and the rest is history. "I defy outdated cultural ideals which breed ignorance and shame about our bodies. I am open-minded, and encourage others to be, as well. I always knew the right path would present itself to me, and now, here I am on Naked News - and loving it!"
